Athabaskan is the name of a large group of indigenous peoples of North America, located in two main Southern and Northern groups in western North America, and of their language family.
Athabaskan Resource Company (Athabaskan) is a consulting firm providing engineering, surveying, project management, geomatics and mapping expertise from its base in the heart of the oil sands in Northeastern Alberta. Although a new company, Athabaskan has an impressive heritage resulting from its formation as a joint venture of the Fort McKay First Nation (FMFN) and Stewart Weir Group (SWG).
